Draft Law No. 9357. The state does not plan to pay for the treatment and rehabilitation of servicemen?

On June 6, the Verkhovna Rada registered a bill obliging private health care providers to treat free of charge.

We are talking about servicemen, each of whom we value immeasurably, but such a mechanism can lead to disastrous consequences for medical institutions and doctors of sole proprietorships.

Private medical institutions support the Armed Forces since the first days of the war.

They do it at their own expense and within the limits of the possibilities. At the same time, they do not receive support from the state and international donors to the extent that is the case with state and municipal medical institutions. By obliging medical providers of private ownership to treat patients free of charge, the state thus shows its desire to destroy the private sector of the medical sphere of Ukraine. It looks all the more surprising that communal medical institutions are withheld, including at the expense of taxes paid to the state by private medical institutions and private practitioners.

Quote from the bill: Article 12. The following benefits are granted to participants in hostilities (Articles 5, 6):

23) free receipt of medical services from health care institutions and rehabilitation institutions of private or mixed form of ownership or of an individual - an entrepreneur who is registered and has received a license to conduct business activities in medical practice in accordance with the Fundamentals of the legislation of Ukraine on health care in accordance with the Fundamentals of the legislation of Ukraine on health care.
